It All Started With Coffee... and One Very Patient Dairy Farmer
Hi, we're Doreen & Rob, the husband and wife behind Coffee & Moo.
We're based in rural New Zealand, where life revolves around dairy farming, good coffee, fresh country air and a never-ending list of ideas.
Well... mostly my ideas.
If you ask Rob, Coffee & Moo probably started the day I looked at him and said...
"Babe... I think I'm going to start making mugs."
He smiled and simply replied...
"Do what makes you happy."
Neither of us realised that one little sentence would completely change our lives.
From One Mug to Thousands
Coffee & Moo didn't start with a big business plan.
It started with a simple idea and a love of creating.
At first it was just a few mugs.
Then a few more.
Before long, our dining table disappeared beneath mug blanks, boxes and packing supplies. The spare room slowly became a workspace, and coffee quickly became less of a treat and more of a necessity.
Every time I said...
"I've got another idea..."
Rob knew another project was about to begin.
Somehow, despite all the chaos, he never stopped believing in me.
The Two of Us
People often assume Coffee & Moo is just me.
The truth is...
It's always been the two of us.
I'm the creative one. The designer. The person who's forever dreaming up new products, new ideas and wondering what Coffee & Moo could become next.
Rob is the steady one.
He's the dairy farmer, the heavy lifter, the shelf builder, the parcel carrier and the calm in the middle of all my chaos.
He'll never ask for the spotlight.
But Coffee & Moo wouldn't be here without him.
It Was Never Really About Mugs
The mugs were simply where the story began.
What we've really been building is something much bigger.
A brand built around coffee.
Country life.
Good humour.
And finding joy in the little everyday moments.
Today that means mugs, apparel and Coffee & Moo merch.
Tomorrow...
Who knows?
One thing we've learnt is never to say never.
Life Behind Coffee & Moo
Life around here isn't picture perfect.
It's muddy gumboots.
Early mornings.
Coffee that occasionally goes cold because we've forgotten to drink it.
Design ideas scribbled on scraps of paper.
Parcels stacked by the front door.
Cats wandering through the workshop.
And one dairy farmer quietly asking,
"Where are we going to put all this?"
Somehow...
We always find room.
Why We Do It
Every order that comes through still makes us smile.
Every customer message still gets read out loud.
Every photo someone shares using one of our products reminds us why we started.
Not because we wanted to sell mugs.
But because we wanted to create products that become part of people's everyday lives.
The mug you always reach for.
The tumbler that goes everywhere with you.
The tee that makes you smile every time you put it on.
Those little everyday moments mean everything to us.
Looking Ahead
Coffee & Moo is still growing.
There are more mugs to design.
More tumblers to create.
More Coffee & Moo merch to bring to life.
And one day...
We'd love to have our own Coffee & Moo coffee.
Maybe even a little Coffee & Moo coffee cart.
We're taking it one step at a time, enjoying the journey and building something we're proud of.

The Creative Mind Behind Coffee & Moo
Hi, I'm Doreen.
Coffee & Moo started with a simple idea and a whole lot of encouragement from my husband, Rob.
I'm the one behind the designs, the product ideas, and the coffee that's never far from my side.
I love creating products that make people smile, whether it's a mug that becomes someone's morning favourite, a tumbler that goes everywhere with them, or something that simply makes them laugh.
When I'm not working on Coffee & Moo, you'll usually find me with a coffee in hand, admiring Highland cows, or saying...
"I've just had another idea..."

The Dairy Farmer Who Believed in the Dream
This is Rob.
He's my husband, biggest supporter and the quiet force behind Coffee & Moo.
While I'm dreaming up ideas, he's the one helping behind the scenes—moving boxes, building shelves, packing orders and making sure I stop for lunch every now and then.
Years ago, when I told him I wanted to start making mugs, he simply smiled and said,
"Do what makes you happy."
Coffee & Moo exists because he meant it.
